Summer is here and iced teas are flowing for me on a daily basis! One of my personal favourites is an iced lemon green tea. Only three ingredients and perfect to quench your thirst on a hot day.
I make a batch in a pitcher, but you can reduce for a single serving too. I persibally like making a batch and keeping it in the fridge to enjoy over a few days :)
- 3 lemons
- Afternoon Green tea leaves
- Maple syrup (or honey)
- Steep 3 teaspoons of green tea in a cup of just-under-boiling water, using a strainer or a compostable tea bag, for 3 minutes. Remove green tea leaves and compost them. Pour green tea into pitcher.
- Drizzle in 2 tablespoons of maple syrup into pitcher and stir to combine.
- Squeeze juice of three lemons into the pitcher, stir to combine.
- At this point you will have a very condensed version of the drink. Fill pitcher with ice and stir once more until all combined. Add more maple syrup if you would like it sweeter.
- Pour in a glass and enjoy! I like to top with a slice of lemon for looks :)
